The
Powers of Place Initiative is an ongoing inquiry around the
nature of the power of place and it is our lived experience
and connections with each other that makes this inquiry come
alive.
Our interactive site, the
Field (there is a link to it on the banner of every
page on this website), was created to support our capapcity
to connect and collaborate in a variety of ways, and we
invite you to join
us there for a deep-dive
into what drives your passion for the power of place, a
calender of events,
and the opportunity to contribute to the development
of this field.
One of the most powerful ways we have to connect with each
other is through our stories, so you might begin by reading
from the Field's StoryPlace,
an evolving collection of stories about how the power of
place effects people. These stories represent
a range of experiences in different settings, and have been
chosen because they exemplify the possibilities inherent
when groups are in reciprocal relationship with the places
where they are gathering. If you have a story about the
power of place in your life that you would like to share
please contact
us or add it directly
in the StoryPlace.
If you would like to particpate in an active working group
that explores some area of the Powers of Place more deeply,
you are welcome to join us in the Field and find or start

group to
