The Powers of Place and Leadership: Lessons from Presence
Walkabouts.
by Glenna Gerard
This inquiry explores how different places influence the
practice of leadership as it relates to listening, discernment, and tapping collective
intelligence in the service of effective whole system decision-making. The
Presence Walkabouts provide a field of opportunity for leaders to experience
the transformational impact of visiting and practicing reflective disciplines
in different locations of Northern New Mexico. A paper will offer hypotheses
and conclusions based upon observations, reflections, and learnings from Presence
Walkabout participants.
The Role of Place in Personal and Systemic Transformation.
by Diane Rogers
Belonging, balance and predictability are essential foundations
of healthy human relationships. This study examines whether
people form bonded attachments to significant places and
the specific role of place in human systems. This
research investigates the connection between people and place using
the lens of the Systemic Constellations, a facilitated approach
to personal and systemic transformation.
